Student Work
On this page, you will find a small collection of works developed by my students over the years. The projects showcased here used a variety of applications and many of them were created in interdisciplinary courses. A few of the technologies and tools used by students were: p5js, Python, App Inventor, Teachable Machines, Machine Learning for Kids, Microbit, Arduino, Adobe Illustrator, laser cutter, and Scratch.
Unboxing Project - Hackathon (2023)
After studying the impacts of Social Media during their project cycle, students create solutions to the question: How can we minimize the negative impacts, or maximize the positive impacts of algorithms and social media in our society?" during a one-day Hackathon. This is one example of a pitch and prototype created that day.
Technology and Us Project - AI Hype Reflection (2024)
As students investigated the big question of the semester: "What makes us human - as individuals and as a collective species?", they consider our relationship with technology and how it has impacted society and our physical world, both historically and in the present, addressing current dilemmas related to social media and big tech. In this exercise, they share their perspective on the AI Hype by responding to different statements on how these emerging technologies could impact our society. This is also the final stop of the exhibition, where we ask visitors to share their thoughts and add them to the wall. All students’ reflections can be read here.
